Interior

Interior amenities start with the power-adjustable driver's seat and door mirrors. You can save up to three such preferences using buttons on the door. Interior upholstery options include textile, leather, and sport leather while inlays include Shimmer Graphite Aluminum, Urbane Wood, and Piano Black. Electronic Climate Control allows independent temperature settings for driver and front passenger and adjustable vents in the door pillars allow heating or cooling to reach passengers in the rear. To ward off the effects of cold, opt for a heated steering wheel or heated windshield. Enjoy views of the sky and the feel of the wind with the standard power glass moonroof, which integrates a sunblind to minimize glare. Storage abounds in the illuminated lockable glove box, the front center armrest, the rear center armrest and the storage pockets in the front door panels and seatbacks.

Features

Use convenient switches on the steering wheel to activate Cruise Control, which maintains a set speed on the highway without your foot having to be on the accelerator. The Power Parking Brake makes moving from slopes easier. Push its button, put the transmission into Drive, and the brake releases automatically. To keep track of your travel, the trip computer shows current and average consumption of fuel and average speed. Turn on the rain sensor and if water hits the front windshield, the windshield wipers automatically come on. Sensus Connect displays infotainment features of the Internet onto your dashboard screen. When you need assistance, push the Volvo On Call button to speak to an operator who can send help to your GPS location.

Safety

The standard airbags are designed to protect the head and chest of you and your front passenger and adjust their inflation based on the severity of the impact. In case of a collision, the steering column collapses in a controlled way and the front structure disperses crash energy from you and your passengers. The passenger compartment is forged from boron steel, which minimizes injury to riders during accidents. City Safety™ Collision Avoidance Technology prevents low-speed collisions when your vehicle travels at 2 to 30 MPH. It applies the brakes automatically unless you actively steer or step on the brakes.
